When I am working on the landscape, if the weather and the scene allows I love to experiment with different focal lengths, looking for compositions inside a composition. This is Reynisfjara, in Iceland, at sunrise on a stormy day:

Both wonderful, but #2 is my favourite: it has a simpler and more effective composition, that highlights the atmosphere and the feel of the place.

Both are stunning but the second one produces an sense of isolation and simplicity that I like very much. That said, I also like the first one a lot as it shows the stacks in the surrounding landscape.

The sky makes the first, but the second is true Iceland.
