Lovely. I'd c**p off some of the left and bottom, though.

But why?
I like it the way Russ posted it.

Because for me, there's too much blurred tree-trunk. It goes beyond merely framing the lighter area with its pleasing curve and occupies about a third of the entire frame. I also find the green leaves in the lower right distracting. I think it's a stronger shot without them and with less trunk.
I like it the way Russ posted it.
So does Russ, obviously, and I concede it's his shot to do with as he pleases.

Hi Jeremy,
Well, I realize that in general, on LuLa, a photograph’s not finished until it’s been cropped, but wherever possible I do my cropping on the camera. This shot is no exception. The tree is blurred because, though I could have gone to f/22 or even higher I left the aperture at f/8, hoping to blur the tree a bit. On the other hand, thanks to your comment I looked at it again and decided I ought to get rid of the light that crept in at the lower left corner. Thanks for drawing my attention to that area. So here it is, corrected. Were I to crop the left side and bottom, the picture would lose its balance and probably topple over. So I’ve left it uncropped.
