Title: Epson 9900 smearing
Post by: londonmatt on August 05, 2020, 11:34:56 pm
New owner of Epson 9900. Printing on A3 Hahnemuhle paper I get this kind of smearing. Can anyone please advise: what part of the printer specifically do I have to clean, or even (I hope not) replace? Many thanks.

Both prints look like you have had head strikes on the paper, make sure there is no curl in the paper flatten first before printing, hopefully there is no damage to the print head, post a nozzle check print if you can.

Make sure the gap setting in set to wide.

Brian.

Thanks, Brian, will give that a go. Yes, paper is not brand new and has a bit of a curl; also my gap setting is not currently wide. Will do this and report back.
