Title: Stair Hole at Sunrise, in Dorset

Climbing up to the top of Stair Hole before sunrise, in the crisp air of the morning, is electrifying. Nature offering you a show like this makes the short but steep climb definitely worthwhile. 1.6 seconds with my Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 21mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters.⁠

Superb and bizarre at the same time. The pool looks man-made. The light belongs to another planet.

A beautiful composition.
One question, and not meant as a criticism; does the rock formation surrounding the 2 near pools appear too brite considering how the low rising sun is behind the clouds and the dark rock formation is in deep shade ?

Thank you very much Richard, I am glad you enjoyed it! :) About your comment, that area looks fine to me, perhaps the softness of the contrast in an area that would normally be darker when shooting against the sun is caused by the cloud cover reflecting down some light and diffusing it. Of course, I appreciate that you might find it strange and not to your liking, no problem at all - we all have different preferences :)
