Has anyone installed this upgrade? If so, have you noticed any particular improvements that were worth the $79.00 USD price? I don't use NIK a lot, but I'd like to see some opinions about to this version if possible.
Any and all replies will be much appreciated. :) 8)

As an existing owner of DxO Nik Collection the upgrade only cost me $59.
Yes, it was well worth it for me. The new Perspective Efx alone was worth that for me. YMMV.
There are also a LOT of people creating Presets for this new collection as well and many of them are useful.
The integration with PS is also a LOT better and useful now as "Smart Objects". You can do that as well from LrC by choosing to call PS using a Smart Object for the collection.

Non-destructive editing from LR without having to go through the PS "smart object" route is a big plus for me.

Thank you for the replies Ron and Jeremy. Good information as usual.
Ron - Not sure why you were able to get the upgrade for $59.00. As I see it the price for the upgrade on their site is $79.00. It's been quite a while since I had visited the site so I hadn't recalled that much of the information is in German and I cannot seem to find a link for English. Of course that would have no bearing on the pricing, just not expected.
EDIT: After a bit of exploration I finally found an English link for the DxO site. All is well, except the apparent differences in price. It is indeed an Upgrade, which would seem to mean that one would be required to have the previous version in order to get the Upgrade price. I do have version Pro 2, but the price I'm seeing is $79 as mentioned previously.

Gary, I got an email from DxO that offered the $59 upgrade.
I think that if you have purchased it before they have a record of it. My wife forgot she had the previous version and when she went to buy it they recognized her login or email and she got it for $59.

BTW DxO has a number of good YouTube videos from the webinars they are offering for Collection 3. I've taken a few and learned a good deal from them.

About the upgrade price, note that there was a rebate valid until the end of June. What you now see is the regular upgrade price.
Cheers,

"Gary, I got an email from DxO that offered the $59 upgrade."
Yes, I sort of recall an email a while ago with a reduced price for an upgrade. Not sure how long ago that was, but if I'm correct I must have overlooked it and now that offer has expired obviously. I think I might get in touch with DxO and plead my case. Perhaps they will give me a grace period. Worth trying I believe. Otherwise I'll wait for the next offer.
Thanks again Ron, and for the YouTube tuts as well. Much appreciated. :)

I have the old Google version of Nik and am looking to upgrade. Must I purchase it from DxO or can I take advantage of the lower price upgrade pathway?
