Just going back and re-processing some old photos.

A few from Rameshwaram, India.

1. Pamban Island bridge at sunset. Completed in 1912, the bridge connects the island of Pamban to the Indian mainland. Here, a train crosses the bridge on the way from Rameshwaram to Madurai.

Canon 5D2 and TS-E 17mm f/4L. Shifted panorama at 17mm, f/5.6, 1/20s, ISO 800. Multiple stacked exposures to reduce noise to effective ISO 50, while capturing the moving train in a single frame.

2. Ramanathaswamy Temple, in Rameshwaram, has the longest corridors of any building in the world.

Canon 5D2 and TS-E 24mm f/3.5L. 24mm, f/10, 2.5s, ISO 100.

Excellent. The first one is very clean and almost looks like a computer-generated image… too good to be possible. The second one is more classical but I like it just as much.

Rameshwaram is hard to get to, but well worth the difficulty.  As shadowblade's wonderful image shows, even the train ride there is an adventure.
While we waited for the boat to Sri Lanka, an itinerant storyteller held the attention of these school kids and my camera.

There's no wharf, you have to perilously ride out to the larger vessel which anchors a kilometre or so offshore.

Well done on both. The temple was built almost a thousand years ago.
