Timing is everything. Interesting story there. Love the way the others surround and frame her.

I wonder if it is what Jay Maisel calls "gesture"? That hand position lasted for just a second. It was a dark bar, during a concert (that's why everyone around her is standing), and her face was illuminated by her phone only. ISO 25,600.

And that's why you and the rest caught Corinna19: damned ciggie smoke feeds all diseases.
Imagine being at a concert and feeling incapable of leaving the cellphone off. How rude! I hope you didn't ask her home - probably screws with the blessed thing on as romantic lighting...
:-)

- probably screws
And wouldn't that rate as an interesting story? ;) ;) :o
And Slobodan, I think "gesture" a la Maisel is exactly right as well as the critical moment a la HCB. I'd put this one in your "Favorites" folder. Unfortunately, we have nothing like it in the deserts of Arizona, only boring sunrises, sunsets, an red rock ;) Anyway, obviously I really like it: Smokin' hot!

So much noise in the image. (just kidding)
Outstanding!

Thanks.
Actually, I brought back some noise in the hair, in order to preserve the detail. I am not terribly obsessed with noise in general, and if needed, I could use a dedicated noise reduction program.

Great catch!

Agreed. Sometimes the softness caused by overly-aggressive noise reduction calls attention to itself more than the noise it is intended to eliminate. And sometimes the grain-like effect of noise actually seems appropriate for a particular image. I think it contributes to the atmosphere in this one.

Not only that, DxO's noise reduction process can eliminate most of it, if that's what you're after.

Russ, I have yet to find a program that would do that without turning hair into a smudge.

Have you tried PhotoLab 3's PRIME noise reduction? I'll grant you nothing's perfect, Slobodan, because when your picture's full of noise there's a lot of stuff missing, but I've had what I'd call pretty amazing results from PhotoLab.
