Another shot from 18 months ago and again taken during my epic journey all the way across America to many of the places that MR went to in his video journals - and what a fantastic photographic holiday I had, so thanks again Michael :)

Thanks Francois and I nearly didn't photograph Pothole Point at all, even though we had gone there specifically to do just that, as it was raining heavily when we arrived and it didn't look like it was going to break any time soon, so my wife the ever intrepid bird watcher, got out of the car anyway and wandered off in the rain looking for anything with wings on it, as I took the opportunity to have an old man nap - you know the type of thing, head back mouth wide open and snoring loudly. Then about an hour later she came back to the car and woke me up and told me to go and photograph the point even though it was still raining, as it was well worth looking at, so I did as I was told and set off into the drizzle. Then as I made my way to the furthest point in the Potholes area from the car park, what do you know, it stopped. So for the next hour or so, I had a big smile on my face and the entire place to myself and out of about 100 shots or so, this is the only one that really seems to work for me, but hey, one shot is good enough for me ;D

Thanks for the story… Yes, persistance is needed and well worth the results (sometimes).
