Title: Topaz Gigapixel 4.5 released: free/double discounted
Post by: plugsnpixels on April 09, 2020, 07:29:10 pm
Topaz just released Gigapixel 4.5 (https://topazlabs.com/gigapixel-ai/ref/5/) with a refreshed interface for a more seamless batch processing workflow, the ability to specify processing settings per item in the batch, as well as other tweaks and fixes.

The update is free for existing users. For new customers, the launch sale lasts until 4/13, with a double-discount available (see URL in sig).

Gigapixel is not a plug-in (even for Photoshop) but a standalone app.

But that is the problem. I hardly ever use it because it is one time consuming pain.
When working in Lightroom to use in Gigapixel you must export image from Lightroom to desktop. Go open up Gigapixel. Import to Gigapixel and let it do it's thing. Export to desktop. Open Lightroom and reimport image to Lightroom, whew..
To use Perfect Resize. Work on image in Lightroom. Edit image in Perfect Resize. Close when done and it automatically goes back into Lightroom.
I am guessing there is a reason you cannot make it a plugin but it is a killer for me. Other than that I actually like it.

I am not the developer ;-)

But you can go to their forum and express your request and see what the technical reasons might be for this to not be a plug-in at the moment.
