Title: old agfapan apx400
Post by: mps98250 on March 02, 2020, 03:10:11 pm
I have an old exposed roll of Agfapan APX400 that came out of an Ikoflex.
Anyone have any experience with developing this film in Rodinal? Development times on different website vary widely. 11 min @ 1:25, 11min @ 1:50, 12min @ 1:75.  Agfa's information on the new (after 2003) APX400 says 11.5 min @ 1:25 or 21min @ 1:50.
Hoping someone here might have some experience with this.

Rodinal 1 + 25 20 deg C 7mins. I used Rodinal all the time I was doing the wet darkroom. Really sharp, good density no film speed loss. I've got the full data sheet for all the Developer/film combinations if you need them. I've attached the sheet relevant to APX400 and Rodinal. Hope this helps, John.

FYI, I have a batch of out dated APX 25 120 films (in room temp). I shot it as ISO 25 and developed according as new and saw no obvious problem.
It may not be the same as the exposed film.

Your question made me check some old photographs; thank you for that !
Just discovered again how beautiful wet BW is.
I have used Rodinal a lot and liked its coarse grain. succes !
