Hello,
From my understanding, my Epson P800 is dead. It is not pressurizing the ink carts anymore. Epson directected me to their "refurbished" printers, but they didn't have any P-800's left. I ended up purchasing a "model" from B&H (a big electronics store in NYC) for $700. The salesman said it's brand new and has never been used, but also called it a display model. I was wondering if there was a way to tell if this "model" has been used, and if so, how much. Is there a way to figure how much printing has been done on this machine, like a print counter? I've done searches, but came up with nothing - but didn't quite know what to search for either. Thanks!

I've never seen a printer actually connected to a computer in a store. Usually they are just out to look at.

B&H is a very reputable business I've been buying from for over 20 years. Ask them what you should do if they ship it to you and it doesn't work. Perhaps they'll cover the printer for 3-6 months.

I did. They said I have 30 days to return it and their warranty is 90 days.

I edited my response. Believe it or not, I had proof read the original. ;D

They’re currently selling the printer for $1195 with the promise of a $300 mail in rebate. In my experience those rebates take for ever to show up.
$700 seems like a good deal especially if you’ve got time to put it through its paces when you get it.

B&H was great - although I ran into problems. I took old inks from my old P800 and put them in my printer. The smaller cart links are used to initialize the printer, which I didn't realize. I could not open the door, and neither could Epson (they had no "fail safe"). I had to pack up the printer, send it back to Epson, who sent me a refurbished printer that was banged up. After a call with them, they are sending me another new one tomorrow.

Sounds like you've been well taken care of my B&H and Epson.
I hope all goes well with the next P800.
