Title: Epson 4800 clunking sound as it is printing, what?
Post by: joelg123 on January 28, 2020, 06:52:03 pm
My Epson 4800 has developed a clunking sound as the print head travels back and forth. It clunks when on top of the capping station. I examined the capping station area and see nothing wrong, nothing protruding and nothing out of place. Trying to figure out how to fix it without calling a repair man. Help!

The only time I've ever heard that kind of noise from my printers is when the head is too low and it's hitting the paper.
