Tuscany often evokes images of soft landscapes and serene hills, but there is drama to be found there as well. To express the drama of this scene, I found 60 seconds of exposure and black & white to be the way to go. Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 45mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra Grad ND, ND and polariser filters.

Speed vs calm… I like this one a lot and B&W is perfect.
Well done.

It's an excellent shot.
But (there's always a "but"), could you not have taken it from a foot or two to the left, so the cross would appear centred between the two distant trees? Just a thought.

Thank you very much Jeremy! About your but - that was absolutely by design. Two reasons for me: 1. I personally think that having the cross entered would have been less dynamic and more boring, and 2. to do so, I would have moved in such a way that the two cypresses on the right would look like one, which I also like less. That's just my reasoning of course, and I appreciate it that others might feel differently about it. Thanks again!

Thank you very much Eric! :)
