Title: exposure control in the iOS Camera app (since 2014!)
Post by: BJL on January 25, 2020, 09:40:40 pm
Five years late, I just discovered that the standard Camera app on iPhones (and iPads) allows exposure compensation with a simple on-screen slider, and has since late 2014. To show how behind the times I am, here is a 2014 article describing it: https://iphonephotographyschool.com/ios-8-manual-camera-controls/

That overcomes my main fixable problem in taking casual snapshots on my phone, so for me eliminates the need to use a third party app like Camera+ (https://camera.plus), though the latter does add a variety of other capabilities that some might find useful, like working with raw files.
