Title: Water Under the Bridge
Post by: Dave (Isle of Skye) on January 10, 2020, 12:10:31 pm
Shot a few weeks ago before the bad weather set in. It's been lousy here for the last two weeks, raining, high winds, sleet, rain, then even more higher winds, oh and did I mention rain...

Think I am going mad  :o

Good one. Let your madness become simply water flowing under the bridge.  ;)

Love the textures and the lighting.  Well found.
Hope you didn't get cold and wet.

Thanks everyone  ;)

The weather on the island returned to something like normal today and it was crisp, cold and clear and really good to be out and about, but it seems we are heading back into the bad stuff tomorrow, with 'Storm Brendan' barrelling towards us and with the eye actually being forecast to pass directly over the top of our house it would seem, with winds in excess of 100mph - good god what is happening with the weather these days  :'(

Here is the current weather map, where the highest 100mph winds areas are shown in black and are forecast to be heading directly towards us Weather Map Graphic (https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/NINTCHDBPICT000553603672.jpg?w=620)

Storm Brendan the full story (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/10721898/uk-weather-forecast-storm-brendan-to-smash-britain/)

Let's hope that the direction changes and it misses us completely, so we don't end up like Dorothy and Toto  :o

Well we survived the hurricane winds thankfully, in fact it wasn't quite as bad as forecast, maybe 70 to 80 mph at times, so yes it was bad, but not as bad as forecast. There was a couple of hours where the house began to shudder and sort of resonate as the high winds battered against it, the big plastic bins we now have to use blew away and the green house became airborne for a wee while and the house opposite had it roof tiles blown off, but other than that, not too bad and so thank goodness it is over - in fact really calm weather forecast for this weekend, so anyone who is close enough to Scotland and is able to drop everything, then get yourself up here this weekend, as we have lots of snow on the tops and the weather is currently being forecast to be perfect for photography - and so I intend to go out and totally over face myself with it  ;D
