Title: Split toning with colour images
Post by: Chairman Bill on December 21, 2019, 11:14:54 am
I'm quite happy with split toning effects in mono (not that I ever really do this) but am trying to work out how to do it with colour images. So far, no luck. Any suggestions?

I'm not super-familiar with C1, but in Ps, I'd do this by creating two layers, adjusting to taste, and using a luminance mask on one of them.

If I understand correctly what you try to achieve, the Color Balance tool is your friend. Try the 3-Way tab, and play with the Shadow / Midtone / Highlight wheels to your liking.

If you want to achieve the most control over the tonal transitions, then I'd recommend to mix it with the Luma mask as Jim recommended.

Thanks, both. I'll give it a try
