Chris, nice image.  I think the fish is a sunfish not a perch.

I've been told a perch, bluegill and now a sunfish...and judging by what swims around my dock, it could even be a crappie...me knows birdies, but not so much fishies.

This one however, i do know; this is a needlefish...or was...

I just lump sunfish and bluegills together.  It is one of these.  Again, cool image.
