Shot on the same whirlwind tour to some of the more Northern parts of Scotland.
Changeable weather in Scotland, can sometimes produce a really spectacular light show such as this and which I think seems to suit this particular subject :)

Yes Francois, we do get some changeable weather up here in Scotland (I prefer to call it 'Active' weather), but every now and then (and more often than you would think), we do get some amazing light. But I would rather work with dark brooding skies with potential, rather than bright, sunny and dry, any day of the week. :)

The water is actually an inland loch, hence why there is no seaweed around the edge of the water, but I do see what you mean about their being a fair amount of water in front of the shot, but I have just looked at cropping it back a bit and the balance seems to not so work so well to my mind. So I suppose I could crop into it from all sides simultaneously, but then I would lose some of the background and the shafts of light etc.
So I suppose what I am saying is, for the time being, I think I am going to leave it as is, even though I do agree there is plenty of the loch showing in the foreground. :) :)
