My family and I went back to my old home town in Michigan to visit mom for Thanksgiving. Travel was a bit of an adventure as it often is this time of year between Colorado and Michigan but we got there and eventually back home. It was pretty rainy and gray there as it tends to be this time of year so I embraced that grayness with my approaches.

Yeah, this is about the best that you can get this time around here. The second is quite good irrelevant to the time of the year too.

Thanks! I was hoping for another common winter weather occurrence that never came this visit, fog!
I did get some for last year's visit.

Your shots convey a sense of the winter season that I like very much…

Thanks!
It's good to get away from my usual landscapes and challenge my compositional reflexes from time to time. Keeps it fresh.
