Title: Epson 9900 printing uneven in pure black.
Post by: smikkelmit22 on November 07, 2019, 04:36:08 am
Hi,

I'm having printing issues, printing large pieces of solid black. See image attached.

It seems to depend on printing speed, resolution ect. But even on highest resolution and finest detail it still remains a bit imperfect.

The head got just replaced, i think i have done about 30m2 with it since. Anyone got a clue what's happening?

Thanks much for your time.

Assuming nozzle check has been performed and is clean?
Looks like either lgt black or lgt lgt black with no black at all.
I had a new head put on my 9900 several years ago by Decision One and he performed several alignments before he had it the way he wanted it.
Did you have an Epson tech do the repair? They should do all the head alignment and anything else that may be required.
Was it printing perfect when he left? You may only have a 30 day warranty on the head replacement? (Maybe 90.)
