Interesting shot, Jeremy.

Nice shot. Were you in a landing craft or another big boat?

That is quite a berg!! But to be honest it all looks a bit overprocessed, at least for my tastes.

Stunning, the vessel is completely dwarfed by the berg…

Are these ice bergs really that blue?
Never been there....

We were in a Zodiac, Alan, returning to our ship after a two-hour wonderful cruise around icebergs.
Yes, they really are that blue.

This shot says a lot about scale, color, and atmosphere in the Antarctic.
Good catch.

Thanks, Eric. I took it at the other end of the world, though, in Greenland. The same points apply.

I assume, based on the image, that the weather was cloudy, dull, and gloomy. If the intention is documentary, than it works. However, if the intention is a visual interpretation of the juxtaposition of size, a little bit of brilliance and extra exposure overall wouldn’t hurt. The boat (ship?) in particular would need extra exposure to make the point.

Interesting that big bergs are blue in both hemispheres! ;)

Actually those in the south are white.
The water in the oceans is also not blue.
Maybe those in the Arctic regions are blue.
I know you all know. Just joking ;)
