You could try to clone/copy the windows frame to the top and bottom to completely surround the actual window, it doesn't even have to fit perfectly. I think it might work better than the grey frame.

Thanks for your comments, guys. Concerning the grey "surround", it wasn't intended to be a frame. In my first attempt to post the image, it wasn't included. As an attachment, I thought the image would open in it's own window, but that didn't happen; and the luminosity of the light onscreen background on the main page tended to induce glare, concealing details I thought. So I replaced it with the darker surround. Probably not a good idea, though.
Here it is without the grey surround.
