Title: When in Palma
Post by: Rob C on September 08, 2019, 04:57:18 pm
Must get that pensioner's bus pass; save me driving and trying to park down in the Little Big Smoke. Snag, though, is the lack of frequency of the buses to this end of the world from that end of the world. Hate the idea of missing one and having a couple of hours wait for the next... how much goddam coffee can I handle?

Peter's Rome shot reminded me of this pic made some years ago. Can't beat cities; Russ, you have my sympathy for our shared predicament...

FWIW: Nikon's Matrix metering, as ever. I think it's the old D200 with manual 1.8/50mm.

:-)

P.S.

Eventually gave in to the urge this afternoon, and reset the viewfinder of that old camera for the first time after the cataract adventures: what a lot of adjustment change it required. Shot a few snaps; maybe wait to get a few before putting them into the computer... old man in no hurry! Delightful!

That's a good re-entry catch, Rob.

I go tomorrow to get measured for a new pair of distance glasses, since the cataract lens didn't manage to take care of all of my astigmatism.

Good luck adjusting to the new way of seeing.

Nice one, Rob.

I too, like the shallow DOF.
