Title: Benro resin ND grad filters
Post by: aizan on September 08, 2019, 01:18:09 pm
Does anyone have a resin Benro ND grad filter? Do they have a color cast? All of the info I've found is about their glass filters, but I'm a grad filter newbie who doesn't know which ones to get. I think I'll start with a 2-stop soft-edge and go from there.

Have you considered luminosity masking instead?

Its a bit of a technical photoshop process, but once you get the hang it you wont really need grad filters.

I only have 6 and 10 stop filters for long exposures, then uses luminosity masking and bracketing for images with higher dynamic range. Check out Greg Benz or Jimmy Macintyre on Youtube. See if it's something you might like to explore.

Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned that I'm shooting film.
