Title: Sunrise in Vernazza, Cinque Terre
Post by: Vieri Bottazzini on August 31, 2019, 03:26:57 am
The iconic sunrise view from above Vernazza, in Cinque Terre, is definitely spectacular. However, I never really liked the classic view with the tower touching the mountain across, which pretty much kills the composition for me. So, I found my own spot, from where the tower is detached from the mountain and has some room to breathe. 81 seconds exposure with my Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 30mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters

By sheer coincidence I ran into this picture today, let's say for illustrative purposes: https://fstoppers.com/photo/43297

Complete agreement with Vieri.  The composition with the tower interfering with the distant mountain pales in comparison.

Definitely worth the effort of finding your own viewpoint - a significant upgrade on the classic shot.
