I like it very much, except for the spot on the left.

The problem is that it attracts the attention to the opposite of the subject.

Nice subject, capture, colors...but that "bright spot" on left really doesn't support all of the good things in image....just detracts

 I agree, this bright spot doesn't bring anything to shot, quite the opposite in fact.

I agree with the others.
That was my first thought before reading any comments.
Except for the spot, the other background elements work beautifully.

Thanks for the comments.  It was a sun burst that I thought I would experiment with.  However, if it distracts
then it must leave.  I attached a new image without it.
