What the world might have looked like had the cold war gone differently. There is splendid beauty in the chaos that consumes the SouthWest every monsoon season. This was another moment of trepidation entering the badlands completely exposed with lightning storms flashing all around us. I would have liked to go deeper, but there really is no way to get away out here in what feels like one of the remote places in the planet as you put miles under your feet.

Spectacular landscape with this red/orange light on the horizon and also the lightning. One must feel vulnerable and at the same time, also mesmerized by the nature.
