Vortices forming in the river foam next to a waterfall.
(Now updated to a Mono version due to popular demand :D)

Some folk are never satisfied are they ;) :) ;D
Anyhow, here is another go at it in mono and I have also tweaked the size to make it a bit more square(ish) as that was my original intentions.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions guys, because as always, they are very much appreciated ;)

It looks like one is in a cave peering into the “twilight zone”.

Fine image Dave!

Nice.
Now could we see it in color? (Just joking.) ;)

Oh, you got that right!
Dave, my friend, I am not going to give you a break just because of friendship :)
The b&w is as flat as the color was. The foam is... gray. It should be bright white, while preserving detail. The rocks are too bright and blend in with the grayness (gasp!) of foam.

Fair doo's Slobodan, I will send both versions to the recycle bin next time I am on the PC.
We went for a drive out the other week for a picnic and just randomly scouting further into other areas of Scotland we haven't really looked at before and we stumbled upon this waterfall, which is quite large and which I really need to go back to and work properly. So this is really a quick passing shot from it and based on your sound advice (which I really do appreciate, so don't ever hold back as I want to know what you really think - always), I really need to go back on my own and spend some serious 'Photo' time there.
I also grabbed a couple of other shots during the same day (see new posts for a Lighthouse and Castle) and both of which turned out B&W for me.
Thanks again everyone ;)

Are you saying global warming is a thing then?

No, he's not. Do not try to introduce a political discussion into a purely photographic thread, please.

Ah OK. It was a joke actually. No problem.

Strange and interesting.

Thanks again everyone and isn't it strange, how some people like it, some people find it sort of unsettling and some don't like it?
I suppose that is a good outcome for a picture if it is making people think about it - isn't it?
