I know it's a classic, but as all classics it's a classic for good reasons. Witnessing an amazing sunrise standing behind the waterfall of Seljalandsfoss, in Iceland, is exciting and almost overwhelming! No matter how classic it is, it is a sight to behold and an unforgettable experience. 8 memorable seconds exposed with Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 21mm, and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters.

Hi Vieri,
Since when have you been introducing sharpening outlines? Seems to happen on the Hassy shots you posted lately. Can't recall them from earlier Leica postings (or earlier Hassy postings, but I'm almost tempted to check). Something different in the defaults for these cameras? Or something changed in your output sharpening lately?

Fantastic image. I was there in February, alas, so there was no opportunity to get behind the falls.
Is there some haloing around the overhanging rocks?

Since never. These are not sharpening outlines, but a halo created around high-contrast ares by the resizing + jpg creating process. It happens with any camera I own and owned, and I normally re-open all my jpgs to clean it out, but this time I had to redo the jog quickly to fix something and I didn't have the time to fix it back then. I fixed it now and uploaded a new version on my server, it should appear eventually here as well when the propagation + cloud will do their job.

Indeed! And I was dressed for the occasion, so no problem for me - what is tricky is to keep the filters clean, but I have a personal system to do that and it surely came in handy here! :)

which is beautiful as well, but perhaps even more difficult to pull off because the spare instantly froze on the filter! :D

Indeed. While the view from behind is something special, I like the waterfall with all the icicles around quite a bit too, it doesn't happen often to see that mass of water with that much ice around, at least where I live it doesn't :D
