Title: Lightroom Book Module-want to use a photo both in the book and as a cover/back
Post by: Eric Brody on June 25, 2019, 05:00:24 pm
I'm preparing a Blurb book for a friend using Lightroom 6.3.1 (current). I'd like to use a photos from within the book as covers, eg I want a photo to be both a cover and in the book.

I do not seem to be able to do this. If I take the photo from the book, and move it to the cover, it disappears from its location in the book. I cannot find a way to duplicate the photo and use it in both places, feeling a bit silly.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I don't think I've ever done that but I'd start by making a virtual copy in LR and using that as the cover.

No need to create VCs unless you want the cover photo be be different from the page.

To add a photo to the cover, make sure you drag that photo from the filmstrip and drop it on the cover.

And if you use the same image on the cover or back and inside, don't expect a color match.  :'(

Thanks John Beardsworth, that did the trick.

I have gotten a very close match using the image-wrap cover, but I don’t have a large enough sampling to say this is consistent.
