Thanks for the heads up.

It's a service release that involves mainly camera body and lens support additions:

And once again, no support for the 19mm Nikon or the 80-400.  Amazes me that they can't understand how important the 80-400 is.  Not sure if the 200-500 is supported but will check.  It wasn't in previous versions. Numerous cases I have opened have always been met with "we will look into it".  There are a few P1 employees that I know read this site, but so far have never managed to respond to this request.  I have offered to send P1 test images shot anyway they need them multiple times.

80-400 has terrible vignetting in the middle and lower aperture ranges.  Phase does a remarkable job on this correction and it would wonderful if they could add the 80-400.  For now just will have to keep shooting LCC's.

Every so often, I put in a feature request for profiles of Canon/Nikon tilt-shift lenses.  Hopefully others do too.

I've found the generic barrel distortion profile set at 8-9 works OK for the 19mm though.

From the release notes.

Nikon
NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S*
NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S*
NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S*
NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S*
NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S*
*Lens profile is embedded in the RAW file and will show as ‘Manufacturer Profile’

What does this mean?

If I go into the Lens Correction Tab and Profiles I can see in the list the Nikkor Z 24-70 f/4 S but none of the others on the list.

These are profiles embedded in the raw (NEF) files, not external files, so they will not show on the list. You need a NEF file taken with those lenses to see the profile.

In the case of the Z24-70 f/4 S, at some point Phase one seemed to have thought as making its own profiles instead of using the embedded ones, and that's why you see it on the list.

Why making your own profiles if there is already one embedded? Well, at least DXO think that they can produce a much better profile than the one embedded.

In any case, I think that those release notes are from version 12.1 (released less than a day ago), not 12.0.4 (released a few days ago)

Note: This really means that now C1 can read the profile from the NEF. They were previously able to do it from DNGs (converted from NEFs).

Thanks, I’m running the latest 12.1 and was looking for the profile for the 24-70 f/2.8 S lens. It just a while for the Manufacturers Profile to appear.
