The Wichita Mountains of SW Oklahoma are a favorite place of mine. So here is a sample of the area. West Cache Creek and the canyon that surrounds it. The 40 Foot Hole at the head of the canyon, some wildflowers and dead trees on the canyon rim, and a few rock formations in the Bat Cave Mountain area. This place is a really special place. If you are travelling in (or near) SW Oklahoma, take time to visit the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge.

I like 3 and 4.
But I don't like the "HDR look" of 1 and 2.

You know what, I agree. They are not HDR but I think the shadow boost is too high. I'm going to work on them a bit more. Thanks for the confirmation.

They have been updated now with a little deeper shadow and a touch less yellow.

Boosting the shadows or using local contrast too much leads to HDR look.
Yes, it's better now.

It's an area I've always wanted to visit. Maybe when I retire in a few years and wife & I wander aimlessly in a small RV.

It's a beautiful place in a very rugged way and it never disappoints. It's also full of Apache, Comanche, and Kiowa history. You should definitely go.
