I can not sit in the position more than a few minutes... but the photo gives the impression this is his natural pose...

Whenever possible - obviously not when I'm shooting surreptitiously - I like to show the subject the shot on the LCD. Fleeting as these encounters are it's a great way to break down language barriers and interact with people.

Irving Penn while in New Guinea used polaroids to had out to his subjects. Great way to gain the hearts of your subjects. If not hearts, not to be invited to be dinner. ;~ )
