Title: Photoshop CC unexpected shut down error after running Sharpen AI
Post by: Paul2660 on April 26, 2019, 09:13:08 am
After running Topaz Sharpen AI on a image in layer (Topaz as a plug-in), the sharpening routine finishes, and Topaz releases the image back to Photoshop, however immediately after this, Photoshop Shuts Down with an unexpected error. File is lost.

I have run into this on 2 different High Sierra Macs, both running Photoshop CC 2018 or 2019.  Both machines have been very stable with Photoshop CC versions, and an unexpected shut down just never happens.

Curious if anyone else has seen this.   So far not seeing similar behavior on Win10 machines.

Thanks
Paul C

I had an issue with my Win7 x64 machine where Sharpen AI would finish and the layer was displayed as a opaque black color. I repeated the process a few times, and the issue persisted. I then closed and relaunched Photoshop and everything worked fine.

Both my Mac Pro and MacBook Pro running Mojave and pscc2019 as a host for the sharpenai plug in will lock up ps after I successfully run sharpenai once. That is, I can run it once and it returns my image to ps just as expected; however, the next time I invoke it from ps, I get the spinning beach ball of despair and I hVe to force quit ps.

It is annoying.

I also faced such type of error on Windows 10, 64-bit operating system when sharpening in Photoshop CC 2017. Now I do Photo Retouching Tasks in Photoshop CS 6 and it works well. Thank Photoshop CS 6.
