I absolutely love the composition and the subject, that part of it I think is wonderful, but not sure about the overly 'crunchy' processing. But hey, everyone to their own style and ways of working, so it if works for you then stick with it I say. But for me its not so much about the colours of the sky as Peter pointed out above, it's more about that overly crunchy look that I am struggling with. But as a piece of dreamscape surrealism, then yes it certainly delivers that in spades.

Another winner. Surreal. Gorgeous. Thought-provoking.

Still worried about them skies though.  For me, they seem to detract from the otherwise-stunning FG. 
I'd love to see the second one with a sky colour that matches the FG.

by the way.. the whole idea of a BG3 filter for a UVIR conversion is that it passes enough blue to enable a blue sky, albeit requiring a hue adjustment which may or may not be pleasing to all

Thanks for including the non-blue sky example.  The FG processing is quite different from the other images, but I still agree with myself. :)  I find the intense blue distracting. The less-blue sky is interesting and provides a more unified look, IMO.

Whatever you're doing is unique, to my eyes at least. These images look more like engravings than photographs.  Lovely and fascinating stuff, Bob.  Makes me want to IR modify one of my D800s.

Sure.. time to upgrade if you haven't already and turn those D800s into IR capable cameras.. Then we can discuss your processing technique and add to my education. perhaps a more subtle rendering approach. I will say that my approach of late has been to get more dramatic/crunchy.
