Title: The Banker's Guide to Art
Post by: Rob C on February 25, 2019, 02:14:39 pm
For those of you able to catch it, BBC 4 tonight, at 23.00.

That means midnight in my zone, so I shall miss it because I need my beauty sleep. No access to reviewing, either, so how altruistic can I be?

Completely forgotten how to work the recorder, and the original control handpiece remote thingy has long died and been replaced by a non-genuine one - neither my wish nor my fault - and I'm sure parts of it don't work. I did attempt recording some time ago, which is how I know there's something wrong.

Where a family pre-teen when you need one?

:-)

My sympathy.
That's exactly why I don't have a smart phone. No 11-year-old to show me how to run it.   :(

¡No hay problema, Roberto!  The documentary (which originally aired in 2016) is available here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Lzr4Ntws-g).

Desperate times admittedly sometimes call for desperate measures, but always try Google first: best way to avoid the condescending sighs of "Oh, Grandpa!"

¡Gracias!

Now I shall have to rush my shower or be late for lunch! Comforting to know I will never lose a fortune on art...

great video..... I also won't be investing
I got into the art world in the 70's after photo school ...  working as a photographer for a major public gallery in Canada.  It really didn't take too many years to realize that the private, "Gallery world"  was just as focused on money as every other business.
art for arts sake?  Keeps me making imagery
regards
Larry.
