Russ, it is explained in the front page article:
https://luminous-landscape.com/midnight-rainbow-submissions/
And the first example is here: https://luminous-landscape.com/midnight-rainbow-1-coronado-by-ralph-upchurch/
-
Then the new category should have started with a reference to the article.
Thanks. But I don't see people piling in.
-
Hmmm. I saw the photo on the front page and read the story. I figured this category was connected but still don’t really understand the intention behind the category.
Is it an invitation for subscribers or forum members to post an image with a compelling story as described on the front page in order for the image and story to be considered for publication on the front page?
Or is it a place for members to replicate in their own way what was supplied by way of example on the front page?
Or it it both of the above?
Or neither?
-
Gee, people, you can’t be serious. Could it be any simpler than as already described?
-
That is simple. As soon as someone makes a submission to the series and someone else selects it then we can discuss it. Or do I assume that if it’s published on the front page the submission and selection has been already made?
In which case why not just say a sub forum to discuss images on Midnight Rainbow.

The first submission has already been selected and published, see my reply #1 above for the link.

It does say exactly that.
-
I don’t think it does say that exactly Slobodan. I think it’s a bit ambiguous. But anyway I have no desire to argue further with this.
I see no need to create this subforum merely to discuss this one area of the site. Perhaps others will see it differently but so far that doesn’t seem to be the case. I suppose that’s why I read more into it than was apparently meant.

Then why isn't the "first submission" in this section of LuLa?
Somehow, I suspect the response is going to be underwhelming.
-

Why would it be!?
This section is not for posting submissions. How and to whom to submit is clearly explained in the opening article. It is for discussing what has already been published on the front page.

This isn’t the first time. There was a sub forum to discuss specific images by Michael Reichmann:
-
I gave up at Midnight Rainbows.

I gave up at Midnight Rainbows.
You'd prefer Midnight Cowboys? ;)
-
Why not? At least you'd know what that meant.

Better to be hustled than confused.

Agreed, just forum clutter that isn't necessary.
