Title: NEC Spectraview v.1.1.38 - Ambient Light Measurement
Post by: David Budd on December 19, 2018, 09:00:29 am
After upgrading I found that Tools> Ambient Light Measurement no longer works with the i1 Display Pro or i1Studio...screen goes to black and freezes.

According to NEC Display Solutions they are having issues transitioning to a 64bit app (V1.1.38). The same issue occurs with the 32bit app v 1.1.38

Is this Windows or Mac?

I think you could still use i1Profiler or Argyll illumread (?) to get a # for ambient light.

The current version of SpectraView on Mac is 64-bit.
And the Tools>Ambient Light feature works for me.
After you invoke the command, hit the escape key. You should then see the window for measurement.

This issue may be system related since I am using 10.11.6. The ESC key solves the screen freeze but in my case returns you to the home screen not the Ambient Light Measurement one.

The email I received from NEC indicated that this would fixed in the next update.
