Title: LR cc, RAW’s on NAS and catalog on cloud.
Post by: Ivophoto on November 09, 2018, 01:04:45 pm
I was hoping to use LR cc as follows:
Keep my RAWs on my NAS and approach my catalog with smart views in the cloud.

Is this possible?

No.

I was already afraid Adobe didn’t do something smart for their clients..

Do you actually mean Lightroom CC, the new Mac/PC app? Its whole idea is that the originals are in the cloud, so the answer is no.

Or have you been confused by Adobe's names, and mean Lightroom Classic CC, the current name for the Lightroom that has existing for 11 years? In that case, you keep your originals on your own hard drives which can include NAS devices, and only smart previews are synced to the cloud.

Best to post in the Lightroom forum....
