Title: LR adding subfolders to imports
Post by: andyptak on October 13, 2018, 05:11:26 pm
I shoot location jobs and usually return with a few thousand shots all in one folder on a portable hard drive. When I import them into LR I end up with subfolders, by shot date, inside my main folder. Does anyone know how to atop this? I just want one folder with everything in it, just the way I copied it from the portable drive. Thanks.

Don't tick the option to import them into dated folders.

I'm just curios. Where is that located? I didn't see it on the import screen or in preferences.

Thanks

Make sure copy is selected on top line of the import screen. On right hand side fourth panel down is destination. Top of this panel is tick box for Into Subfolder, don't tick this and then in the organise drop down below it select "into one folder".

Thank you all.

I missed that panel myself.
