Title: The Power of Monument Valley
Post by: mseawell on October 13, 2018, 09:51:54 am
One can feel it, the mornings are colder, the evenings crisp and the sun struggles a little more each day to rise. Here in northern Utah, the first snows of the season blanket the trees, muting the colors of autumn still present in the Wasatch mountains. Like a lover abruptly ending a kiss, the seasons change and move on like a stream, restless, boundless energy that cannot be contained and we are swept along with these changes, a river of life. But bear with me as I cast my mind's eye back to a period not so long ago and a place I had never visited. Here, the feel is the deserts of the Navajo, the warm air and these magnificent, timeless, mosaics rising majestically into the late evening sky, aflame in shades of pink, purple and blue in twined with deep canyon reds....the power of Monument Valley.

Thanks Slobodan! The truth of the matter was I wasn't too excited about Monument Valley...until I saw it!

Beautiful photo, but I am just as impressed by your prose. "...Like a lover abruptly ending a kiss, the seasons change..." Wonderful!
