Title: Viewing/deleting JPEG sidecars?
Post by: PeterAit on September 30, 2018, 11:11:14 am
I mistakenly set my camera to save both RAW and JPEG so when I imported the photos into LR the JPEGS came along. I haver no need for these files and would like to delete them. How do I do this? Thx.

Perhaps in future you could cull photos that aren't keepers before importing?

Easy. Do this:
In Library Grid view
At the top, click on METADATA
Change one of the 4 columns to show FILE TYPE (just click on any column to bring up the choices of metadata, file type is toward the  top of the drop down list)
Choose to show only JPG files
The grid view now will show only your JPG files
Delete those files as you wish.

Hope that this helps.

Thanks for the guidance JeanMichel. I had the exact same issue. Worked perfectly.
