I am sorry to read that Phase-one stops with Media Pro SE on 30th of august 2018
I am a very longtime user from the days of iview media... 10 years or more.
I just upgraded to media pro SE this month so feel a bit mal treated ; especially that they did not inform me by email that they are discontinuing the program.
Instead after visiting the site and stumble accross the message i got some advertising email...
They call the program 'end of life'.
I can only hope they sell it to some company that really puts effort in it.

I think that really is the end of the road for iView. Even back in 2006 when PhaseOne were outbid by Microsoft, there was little margin in single user DAMs. That market is gone.

I much prefer the way Media pro works to the centralized Dam options.
It leaves me more freedom to arrange my files and to use different Raw programs.
That said, media pro could be a much better program if some effort was put into it.
I misses the PSB thumbnail support- a format i like to use.

UPDATE...
I am a bit late going to Mojave 10.14...
It was introduced in june 2018 and available august 22 2018.
Now i see Media pro SE hardly works with RAWfiles in Mojave .
So Phase-One sold it to me in juli 2018 knowing it did not work... - not very nice...

I guess they stated that after they discontinued it.
Fortunately i found a way to address the problem;
When working on OSX Mojave 10.14 choose Raw rendering by Phase one in the preferences.
I never used that because it was slower, but on 10.14 it is working well. Rendering by OSX is not an option anymore for it crashes.
Just started to try Fast Raw Viewer as a replacement for Media Pro. It is a different kind of animal but has the advantage of using only RAW. The rendering is blazing fast.
However Media pro has a much better interface and is more versatile- For instance you can use batch rename and see tiffs and psd's
