Well caught, bird and photographer!

Thats pretty cool Chris!

I love the way he hangs onto the branch with one foot while diving.
Great catch (for both of you.)

I have to admit in all my years of shooting these little guys, this was the most acrobatic display I've ever seen. It's amazing that they can stretch all the way out hanging onto skinny branch.

Just wonderful, Chris. And it demonstrates how carefully they must have to choose their perch, just the right distance from the water.
-
Great shot! Love the subject matter too.
-
Here's a part of the feeding sequence to give you an idea how far they can stretch.

I keep trying to imagine myself hanging onto a little branch with the toes of one foot while diving into the water for my dinner.
I can't!
