Title: Sinar eMotion 75 Digital Back-New Batteries
Post by: JKNIGHT on July 20, 2018, 03:47:27 pm
I need help finding a source for new 7.2V batteries that fit my Sinar eMotion 75 back.  Varta V290's are no longer available.  The batteries I have tried are all too large to fit the eMotion 75.  The Duracell DR5 and the Volta NPF-550 are not suitable because of their size.
Any help would  really be appreciated.
Thanks

You need to look for batteries compatible to "Sony NP-F330". Not "Sony NP-F550", etc... those are too big.

With the magic search key "Sony NP-F330", you'll find what you need on amazon, ebay, alibaba, etc...

The F330's are typically 500-800mAh and lack the capacity of the Sinar cells at 2400mAh.
Thanks for trying to help.  I will find a suitable replacement with the power I need after more research.

I managed to get my Duracell DR5 2600mAh battery to fit by reducing the depth of the plastic casing by a small amount.  This solved my problem.
You must be careful when choosing batteries for Sinar digital backs.  If the battery is not approved for use by Sinar you will void any warranty and possibly damage the back.  The Duracell DR5 was approved before I even considered using it in my back.
Thanks for trying to help.
