Title: Sunset lines on lake?
Post by: 3_Dogs on July 15, 2018, 06:14:02 pm
While I was taking some sunset shots I noticed these lines on the lake when I was in Live View.  When I went back to the truck I told my wife I was worried something was wrong with the sensor.  She said "you mean those lines?" and pointed out the window.  They were visible by eye also.  Does this have something to do with the time of day or cloud cover?  Thanks

(Didn't know I had to be a math major to post here!)

looks like you are looking into rather than across "dust" rays from the sun light being interfered with by the clouds and whatever particulate is in the air.

I think these are the brightest points in the clouds reflected but broken by waves.
