Title: Low water dusk
Post by: MattBurt on July 10, 2018, 01:02:44 pm
Levels are very low in the local creek now. I'm starting to wonder if it will even flow all summer.
I was able to find a nice swirling eddy of bubbles which is a favorite composition element.

Color or mono?

I could make one. Too cool, you think? I was thinking cool since it was the Blue Hour but I'll try warmer when I get a chance.

I like the impact of the B&W, but I'd also love to see some more variants of the color version.

B&W, I'd say.

Definitely B&w for me.

B & W for me, has it helps focusing the attention where the interest is, the swirl.

Here is a variation of the color one but I tend to agree the B&W works better. Thanks for the feedback!
This shot I set the WB with the WB dropper on a gray rock on the shore.

I'd go further still, wb in dark part of clouds.

Are those clouds really clipped? No recovery, even in b&w?. I'm not allergic to clipped highlights, but it seems slightly distracting here.
