Title: Replacement for RX100 Mk(i) - what I want...
Post by: Dinarius on July 04, 2018, 12:15:00 pm
I love my RX100 Mk(i), old as it is.

But, I’m getting more into video and it just doesn’t cut it. So, I’m considering replacing it.

I don’t want to take my DSLR abroad either.

My ideal camera would be...

1. Very small.
2. About 20 Mp.
3. Zoom lens in the 20-85mm DSLR equivalent range, or thereabouts.
4. Excellent video.
5. Headphone jack.
6. External mic input.
7. The usual RAW, full manual override, etc.

Instead of another compact, maybe I should be considering mirrorless. If so, which?

Thanks.

D.

Panasonic has quite a range of M43 cameras with great video ability and stills as well. Also various models from which to chose.

If headphone jack and external Mic input are a must then your definition of "very small" needs to be quite flexible.
