Yes!

Why? I seem to be unable to 'get' most of the street shots appearing on LuLa at the moment.

This one hints at what really goes on in the mind of a monk in deep meditation.
Great shot, IMHO.

So what does it suggest to you? How many monks choose to meditate outside a cafe?

I am in no way saying I don't like this image or that it is any way a poor photograph (I simply don't comment on those) I just don't get how it speaks to others.

It seems the monk is wondering how it would be to ride a bike. I like the 'catch' It is not a complex picture end there are no hidden doors for me.
That's the reason why I like it. Has nothing to see with what forever genre or style it should or could be.

Thanks for that Ivo. I thought those guys could ride motorcycles anyway?

Maybe he is staring to the girl behind the bike outside the frame....

So you think he might be doubting his calling  :)

I like the fact that this image is untitled, because it leaves interpretation to the viewer. I probably would have spoiled things by titling it something like "The Road Not Taken".  ::)

My thanks to all who have viewed and commented. Thank you.
I am neither an artist ( in photography or anything else ) nor a mind reader.

Stay well folks.

Fursan obviously is a damn good photographer, but he's never told us how old he is or where he is. I have no idea where he made this picture, but the kid probably is a Buddhist novice. Since I don't know where this is I don't know whether or not what I saw in my two years in Thailand is the same here, but there the kid would have gone through his novice period and probably have become a normal citizen, not a full-time priest. If I'm right, this kid is close enough to the age when he'll shuck the robes and hop on a motorcycle, maybe with a girl behind him. In the meantime, with any luck at all he'll have learned a kind of morality that's becoming too rare in this world.

Russ, thank you for the compliment.
The posted image was made in Laos.

Thank you again.

p.s. guess I have introduced myself, and the ramble is no longer needed or serves any purpose.
Hence, I have deleted it.

Facinating. Thank you for sharing all that Fursan. You are a fine photographer in my opinion and an obviously interesting person

Martin, Eric, Keith; much appreciated gentlemen.

Keith, indeed nice to be here. Adds to getting to know more people and make new friends.

Take care.
