I use C1 for everything except weddings, basically because Loupedeck makes it so much faster. But now - https://loupedeck.com/introducing-loupedeck-the-next-evolution-of-custom-photo-editing-console-loupedeck/ (ok not now, but later this year).

Update. It works. It's awesome. It's only $229. Slliiiiight lag on the crop tool, but the software is only in Beta.

What about mapping the functions? or the colour balance wheels?

No...you'd really need a ball for that, and it's not customizable yet, but they said that part is coming later this year.
